I’m an asshole.

I got no shame in admitting it, hell my wife knew that first hand after we worked together the first time. It isn’t like I tried to be this candy ass punk of a douche to sweep her off her feet. Why would I waste my fucking time with that bullshit? When I can be a complete asshole and get her on her back.

Crude?

Yeah, something like that. But in the end I don’t give a shit, I got her. Now I just have to figure out how to get her to fall in love with me and to actually give this marriage of ours a shot. If for no other reason than at least for our daughter Emmy.

Jasmine Lee is a small town girl who grew-up in a small town with a population of only three-hundred and sixty one people. She had her son at the age of twenty and at the age of twenty-four she met her husband and with-in a year they were married. It was only two short years later, while babysitting a little girl they met their soon to be adopted daughter. Fast forward to today and she is a stay-at-home wife and her husband works at the local prison. Their daughter is ex-NAVY and is now living in California and their son is working as a manufacturer of metal. She is still living in a small town, actually smaller then the one she grew-up in on ten acres and enjoys writing and taking pictures and working in her garden and babying her roses.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dont bother, it'll leave you feeling miserable

I finished this book not feeling in any way fulfilled. The cheating in the beginning didnt really bother me as Kailees husband was not very nice. The cheating Boyd did though was what finished it for me. Also the whole cover shoot thing. i dont know about anybody else but if my husband had his hand down somebodys trousers whether itbe for work or not, i'd count that as cheating. Ifa book is angsty but it has a very happy ending i don mind, this book however was horrible. Like what happened when they split for a year? Did Boyd go with other women? How could he move away? All these questions and no answers and they it was quickly tied up. This overall felt like half a story. Im not sure if there will be a sequel. If theres not then this quite possibly the worst book ive ever read.
Im not happy. Its a real shame because the story had potential. The trust issues, cheating and the guy being horrible ruined it for me. I couldnt sympathise with the characters at all.
Also i found it strange the daughter hardly appeared. And Boyd didnt really seem too into his daughter considering he hadnt been there the first three months of her life. He just seemed totally selfish. This book gets an award for something though, yeah THE WORST BOOK BOYFRIEND EVER!

This was an amazing book. Kailee and Boyd's story was like a roller coaster of emotion. At some point I wanted to smack both of them. But in the end Boyd giving her space helped her realize she loved him and was ready to give it a try.
